Writer. Designer. Activist. Artist. I identify so closely with each of those words, but none quite captures the fullness of what I want to bring into this world. My struggle to choose has allowed my skills to become multifaceted. My design is influenced by my writing. My art by my advocacy. Each passion is not complete without the others. So, I find myself and my work in the center of that overgrown Venn Diagram. I hope you’ll join me there.
A creative writer and graphic artist by education, I am now a Digital Storyteller by trade. I work in nonprofits, where I seek to make a difference and encourage the different. I know complex problems require creative solutions, and the online landscape changes fast. It’s time to be innovative and take risks. This moment and our world require it of us.
To really get to know me, we’d have to ride the bus together. Or get lost in a new city together. I like art museums, art galleries, art history, and jellyfish. I enjoy reading, writing, biking, drawing, and watching nature documentaries. I am passionate about fighting the climate crisis and designing cities in an equitable way. I’m organized. I wash my dishes by hand. I don’t procrastinate. I love creative nonfiction because it’s about finding an engaging way to tell the truth. I know all trees are smarter than me. I think everyone should go to therapy.
